Ivan Bellarosa and Wolf GB08-Honda hit the jackpot in Silverstone
11/09/2011 – Weekend as a ruler for Ivan Bellarosa and Wolf GB08 in Silverstone (United Kingdom) during the fifth and penultimate round of the Speed Euroseries 2011.
The Italian driver secured an impressive hat trick on the challenging British track as he obtained the pole position and victory in both races. This unquestioned supremacy remarks once again that the Wolf GB08-Honda is currently the reference point in terms of performance and reliability for CN2 class cars but also re-launches Bellarosa’s classification as the Italian driver is now third 23 points shy of the leader with 33 points still to be awarded.
Good performance also by Dean Stirling and Matthew Draper, sixth in race one and seventh in race two. The rookie Pierre Nicolet had to retire in race one by he scored an encouraging ninth place in the second race.
“Scoring an hat trick in a circuit full of history like Silverstone filled with satisfaction the whole team and people involved in the development of the Wolf GB08. This is the second one-two in a row in the Speed Euroseries after the one obtained in Imola two months ago and it highlights the superiority of our car; championship’s organizers with great correctness decided to perform some extremely in depth verifications on the winning car that last from Saturday until Sunday and that did not highlight any irregularity at all”.
The Speed Euroseries will be back on track next 25 September at Estoril (Portugal) for the final round of the season.
