Big improvements for the 2013 version of the Wolf GB08

06/11/2012 – After the last tests held at the Misano World Circuit, the 2013 version of the Wolf GB08 is ready to be commercialized. The front end of the car is completely new as the rear extractor that provides a 16% increase in the aerodynamic load without penalyzing resistance, keeping top speed, that has been one of the winning features of the 2012 challenge, unaffected.

The GB08 and the GB08-S version 2013 will be equipped with Sadev gearbox (SL75/SL82) with a new completely electronic shifting system at the steering wheel designed by Mectronik. The global performance improvement in comparison to the 2012 version sums up to about a second per lap at Misano circuit.

Giovanni Bellarosa (Wolf Racing Cars, General Manager):
“2012 has been a great year for us, one in which we dominated the Speed Euroseries with 10 wins out of 12 races showing a big advantage on our competitors. Victories and pole positions were also harvested in the VdeV Proto Endurance and in the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi, therefore we cannot be but satisfied. Strong of this lead, we worked hard to make our challenger even more competitive and the 2013 version is the most significant step forward since the debut of the Wolf GB08 back in 2010”.

Maurizio Bellarosa (Wolf Racing Cars, Sporting Activities Manager):
“The 2013 version of the Wolf GB08 sets a new benchmark for CN prototypes and we are very happy about this. The objective for the next season is to bring our cars to even better results compared to the excellent ones obtained in 2012, particularly in VdeV where we expect to see our customers fighting for the title”.

The first two Wolf GB08 version 2013 have been on verified on October 30, and are now heading to United States. A kit is available to update all the existing GB08 to the 2013 version.
