Macario and Forte Valentini award Wolf Racing Cars with the first clients one-two in Franciacorta
20/05/2013 – Wolf Racing Cars outfit continues to be among the main protagonists of the Italian Prototypes Championship. At the circuit “Daniel Bonara” of Franciacorta the Wolf GB08 obtained a pole position and a one-two in the race of an eventful weekend.
On Saturday, after the second time in qualifying one, Ivan Bellarosa (Avelon Formula) secured the number 28 pole position for the car of the American brand in qualifying two (1’06.905). Positive performance also for the young Paride Macario (BF Motorsport), fifth in both sessions at his debut.
After a lively start, race one’s top positions did not change until the chequered flag that gave Bellarosa the second place. Simone Borelli (BF Motorsport) seventh and Guglielmo Belotti (Avelon Formula), eighth, ended within the top-ten.
Changing weather conditions brought several twists in race two and favoured drivers started on slick tires despite the wet tarmac in several sectors; Bellarosa and other front-runners were forced to a pit-stop instead.
Macario was the first of the drivers started on slick tires and with the circuit drying up he produced a good recovery that took him all the way up to the lead that he solidly kept until the flag. The second place obtained by Forte Valentini (BF Motorsport) completed Wolf Racing Cars’ first one-two obtained by a client team on the Wolf GB08. Ivan Bellarosa ended fourth while Filippo Caliceti (BF Motorsport) was ninth.
The Italian Prototypes Championship will resume next 23 in Magione.
