De Val twins and Henk Haane win the 500km of Zandvoort

11/11/2013 – Another success obtained by the De Val twins who took, together with Henk Haane, the Wolf GB08 to the victory in the 500km of Zandvoort (Holland).

After the second place in qualifying, at about one tenth to the pole, the Italian-Dutch lineup kept the lead of the race since the beginning despite the changing weather conditions, giving it temporarily away to a Radical only in the mid stages.

The very good performance put in by Stefano and Nicola De Val and by Henk Haane has been supported during the race also by the perfect work of team Baskoeten Racing’s men: the choice made by the pit wall to keep the car on track on rain tyres while the tarmac seemed to dry up in a neutralized phase of the race turned out to be decisive, while the ability of mechanics made it possible to complete very quick pit stops.

The victory at the end of the 500km highlighted once again the technical superiority of the Wolf GB08 and the value of a lineup that did not make the smallest mistake in quite a tricky race as witnessed by a final gap of more than 4 minutes given to the second classified, that was the most powerful Radical SR8 run by Intrax Racing.
