The Wolf GB08 turbo close to win also in Rjeka

13/06/2016 – The round in Rjeka (HR) of the 3 Hours Endurance Champions Cup had further positive indications on the competitiveness of the new Wolf GB08 with Peugeot 1.6 turbo engine and Michelin tyres. The car sponsored by Simpons and lined up by works team Avelon Formula for Bellarosa-Belotti had won the previous race in Misano. In Rjeka, after setting the pole position and leading most of the race, an electric problem forced the lineup to the retirement with 30 minutes still to go.

The supremacy shown by Wolf has been confirmed anyway by the victory taken by Luca Pirri and Gabriele Lancieri, that won the race on the aspirated Wolf GB08 run by LP Racing.

Giovanni Bellarosa (Wolf Racing Cars, Team Principal):
“Our cars have been a landmark also in Rjeka and I want to send my congratulations to the whole staff of LP Racing on adding a further victory to the prize list of the Wolf GB08. The development of the turbo version is continuing according to the plans and we are very happy on the very high level we reached so far; some little youth problems are normal in a new project, but we will be sorting them quickly”.
