The Turbo Wolf GB08 unrivaled in Magione’s round of the Italian Sports Prototype Championship

04/07/2016 – The Wolf GB08 Turbo confirmed to be the new landmark in the Sports Prototype challengers also at the circuit of Magione that has housed the fourth round of the Italian Sports Prototype Championship 2016 last weekend.

The domination of the car pushed by the Peugeot 1.6 turbo engine lined up by the works team Avelon Formula and driven by Ivan Bellarosa has been once again crushing: the Italian car fitting Michelin tyres and sponsored by Simpsons has been in fact dominating since free practice inflicting gaps of more than a second per lap to the rivals. Such a superiority has been certified at the end of the weekend following a complaint filed by a rival as technical scrutineering highlighted the complete regularity of all tested components.

Bellarosa put in two great times in qualifying claiming as many pole positions in 1’07.644s and in 1’07.206s. The number 45 Wolf GB08 started race one from the first row of the grid and led the race from lights to flag through the 22 scheduled laps. The driver from Brescia claimed a strong victory with more than 5 seconds of margin to the closest rival setting also the fastest lap of the race. Such a bold performance concluded a satisfactory weekend for Wolf Racing Cars.

Giovanni Bellarosa (Wolf Racing Cars, General Manager):
“We are more than happy on the performance of the new Wolf GB08 Turbo in its first exits. The speed is great both on single lap and on race pace. This is thanks to the huge development and set up work done as usual on all the models of our range. This is a project that started off well and we are proud on having shown that the Wolf GB08 Turbo is going to be the future of category CN”.
