An extraordinary debut for the Wolf GB08 Thunder in the Italian Sports Prototypes Championship 2018
04.06.2018 – The weekend just ended has been a great success for Wolf Racing Cars that has run its first round of the new Italian Sports Prototypes Championship in Monza. The championship is in single-branded regime and uses the Wolf GB08 Thunder.
After several months of intense work on the design, construction and development of the new challenger powered by Aprilia RSV4 1000cc, Wolf Racing Cars ended the opening race of this new sportive challenge displaying great performance and constant pace.
The cars challenged each other on a difficult circuit like Monza that features very high top speed and puts high stress on the braking system, but brilliantly passed the exam producing a unique spectacle that excited supporters and staff.
Giovanni Bellarosa (Wolf Racing Cars, General Manager):
“It has been an intense and unforgettable weekend. Watching and hearing the Wolf GB08 Thunders lapping all together in Monza has been an unspeakable emotion for all of us. We have been working around the clock to this project since last October and we are really very happy for the feedback we got on track. We received some requests to increase the number of 20 cars to be entered in the Italian Sports Prototypes Championship 2019 and the interest of foreign Federations, that would like to propose a similar series. On the technical side, we did not experience relevant issues that are not due to the youth of the car and our challenger was very quick”.
The Italian Sports Prototypes marked by Wolf Racing Cars will continue with the first of the next five rounds on June 17th in Misano. The closing round of the championship is scheduled at Mugello on October 28th.
